Sorry I’ve been MIA
Actually I have posted a couple of long blog entries but they seem to have disappeared in to cyperspace because they sure aren’t here. It has been hectice around here so I haven’t had much time so it is really frustrating when I have a couple of spare minutes and then the posting doesn’t show up. Anyway to make a long story short I had a great time with my friend from high school, my daycare business is thriving and I have been on track for the last couple of weeks. I went on eDiets.com and for those of you doing low carb I found a great resource. I signed up for the Atkins diet and they give you a weeks menus at a time including recipes and substitutions, they also give you options from your favorite fast food places. You have to sign up for 4 weeks at a time but it is only a little over $4 a week. They also calculate calories. They goal they set is 2 pounds a week. I think it is really helping me because among other things it has made me realize that even if I have kept my carbs down, I need to cut back on the calories. One other thing that I found interesting from another source is that if you over do on protein your body ends up burning it the same as if it was carbs. I am slowly catching up on blogs and hope everyone is doing good. I am sure you are. I am hoping to have some more time to get online along with the other steps I am taking to really get serious about getting the rest of this weight off. I even revised my goal. Keep up the good work buddies.
